Searcys are looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join the team at St Pancras Brasserie and Champagne Bar.

As an Assistant Restaurant Manager you would be working closely with the Restaurant Manager to drive quality and consistency within the Restaurant ensuring to deliver flawless service and exceptional food and drinks to our guests.

You will mentor and guide the junior team, coaching on the job and behaving in an exemplary manner to create a positive and supportive working environment for the team.

Job Type: Full Time

Salary up to £38,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • To work with the Senior Managers, Kitchen and Restaurant team to plan, organise and deliver seamless service to our guests.
  • Build positive working relationships & communication methods with key departments
  • To brief the restaurant team on all aspects of the business and to oversee the running of service 
  • Opening and closing procedures
  • To lead the supervisors, waiters and colleagues
  • Implementation of the staff induction and mandatory training within the first three months of employment and monitoring of staff performance during probation.
  • To monitor daily the standards achieved in your department, to deliver exceptional guest service and levels of attention to detail and report any areas of concerns to the General Manager. 
  • To monitor that all staff present themselves correctly for duty and are well groomed whilst on duty. 
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in people management
  • Ability to prioritise multiple projects in a fast-paced, multi-faceted, creative environment and able to work well under pressure
  • Meticulous organisational abilities; high attention to detail
  • Concise and effective verbal and written communication
  • Ability to adapt to challenges and opportunities with a solution-oriented perspective
  • Excellent strategic thinking and critical reasoning skills
  • Creative, positive energy, self-directed, amiable, and composed under pressure; helpful and humble
