Children and Young Peoples Disability Team – Transforming Young Lives

Join our Children and Young People’s Disability team (CYPDT) as an Assistant Team Manager and receive excellent training and development opportunities, flexible working (including from home on occasion) and the option of a 9-day fortnight (upon probation completion).

This is a great opportunity for a skilled and knowledgeable practitioner who has the passion to deliver a person-centered and outcome-focused service for our disabled children, young people, and their families in Wiltshire.

Our team covers the entire county with hubs in Trowbridge, Chippenham, and Salisbury. We support children from 0 -18 and their families across various needs and work closely with education, health, and care providers to improve outcomes for our young people.

In this role, you’ll support the Team Manager in maintaining daily operations, provide supervision, and help with the teams professional development. Your decision-making skills will be essential, as you may chair complex meetings and cover for the Team Manager when necessary.

You should have a recognised social work qualification, be registered with Social Work England, and have significant post-qualification experience. Knowledge of legal frameworks, including the Care Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice, is desirable, along with experience in managing and supervising workers.
