As an Assistant Manager, you’ll work alongside a fantastic management team to support the Unit Manager in the day-to-day operations of Eric Williams House. You’ll lead a dedicated team, ensuring that every decision we make delivers the best possible outcomes for our residents.

As an Assistant Manager at Eric Williams House, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering exceptional care and support while upholding Coventry City Council’s Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Policy.
Your main duties include:
Promoting Resident Well-being:
- Ensure individualized care that supports independence and maintains physical and mental well-being.
- Facilitate activities that enhance independence and promote social, leisure, and learning opportunities.
- Uphold residents’ rights, encouraging active involvement in care decisions.
Service Management:
- Deputize for the Manager, oversee day-to-day operations, and maintain staff rotas.
- Implement effective management strategies and monitor staff to uphold high standards of service delivery.
- Collaborate with social work teams, healthcare services, and the community to enhance resident outcomes.
Safeguarding and Compliance:
- Maintain good safeguarding practices, adhering to all health and safety regulations, including risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with corporate, directorate, and local policies, and handle complaints effectively.
Staff Development:
- Act as a role model for quality care, coach and guide staff, and conduct supervision and development sessions.
- Support the recruitment and selection of staff and volunteers, managing induction and probation periods.
Operational Excellence:
- Participate in budget management, support program implementation, and ensure effective communication within the team.
- Engage in report writing, care planning, and reviewing systems to maintain high-quality service.
Flexibility and Additional Duties:
- Perform any additional tasks as required, contributing to the continuous improvement of the service.
