Salary Range: £17.32 – £17.85 per hour

Being a Bank Nurse with Brandon, you’ll have flexibility and access to shifts that work for you including sleep-ins. You can choose to work for a day here and there, during term times or holidays, evenings only or weekends only. 

In this rewarding casual bank nurse role, based in the village of Chalgrove, you’ll support adults who have complex physical needs and learning disabilities. They lead busy, active lives and are keen to try new things. 24 hour care is provided where you'll run shifts, manage the support workers and support the health needs of the individuals. 

The support we provide is centred around each person’s values, preferences and needs which could include developing daily living skills, accessing a wider community, personal care and medication needs. You’ll work closely with other professionals to develop safe systems of working and achieve the best possible outcomes for the people we support.

You will:

  • Have a nursing qualification with current NMC registration (RNLD, RMN or RGN)
  • Confident and calm under pressure.
  • Experience working with people with a learning disability.
  • Flexible, open to a challenge and innovative in your approach.
  • Clinical expertise or willing to learn and undertake relevant clinical skills
  • Ability to drive and willingness to use your own transport while at work is desirable

Your responsibilities: 

  • You’ll provide specialist nursing and be a role model in the delivery of direct support to people with a learning disability.
  • Support people to achieve their personal outcomes in relation to managing their daily life.
  • Carry out nursing procedures in line with local or district guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with other members of the team, families and stakeholders, where appropriate, to ensure continuity of care.
  • Work as part of a nursing team to ensure that the best outcomes are achieved for the people supported.
