We are recruiting for Bank Teaching Assistant at Wisbech, Cambridgeshire.
The Cambian Group, the UK’s largest provider of specialist services in education, mental health rehabilitation and learning disabilities, is looking for an Teaching Assistant to join the team at Wisbech School.
Cambian Wisbech School in an independent, DfE-registered, co-educational day school, providing specialist education for up to 40 students, aged 7-17 years. Job Role
The successful teaching assistant would work as part of a team under the direction of a qualified teacher, assisting students to access a broad curriculum. You will need to have good organisational and communication skills and be able to work flexibly in relation to tasks undertaken.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
- · Support students in lessons
- · Support the tutor group in Tutor times,
- · Assist the teacher in the preparation of work for the subject and for the Tutor group.
- · Support students during on and off-site activities.
- Full induction training is given. You will also learn from some of the most dedicated and inspirational people in our profession and just like our young people/service users you will be learning all the time through our on-going mentoring and support.
- Candidate Profile
- A grade C or above in English and Maths GCSE is desirable.
- Someone who has experience working with children or young people with additional needs would be ideal but not essential as full training will be given.
