Nestled in the heart of [Location], this prestigious independent school – West Buckland School caters for day pupils as well as boarders and staff and includes not only a breakfast, lunch and supper service but also an extensive hospitality service. This operates 7 days a week.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Catering Assistant to make a name for themselves within the food service industry and be a part of setting the new standard for education catering.
As a Catering Assistant you will…
- Assist in the preparation and serving of breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner according to established menus and recipes.
- Maintain cleanliness of the front of house areas including organising dishes and utensils.
- Following proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.
- Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies.
- Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff during mealtimes, addressing any concerns or special dietary needs.
- Participate in training sessions and meeting related to food service procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
- Primarily be in wash up during lunch service.
- Ideally have experience working within Education catering
- Have good Health & Safety knowledge.
- Flexible with a can-do attitude, customer focused.
