Salary: £25500 per annum

Shift hours: Permanent

To manage a motivated, trained team with the appropriate skills to ensure budget targets are achieved. To be customer focused and financially astute to achieve company and client objectives. To provide the highest level of client and customer service, and assistance in the smooth operation of the restaurant.

  • To provide a first class, professional service to my client and customers and to take ownership of my department and team members
  • To ensure my team and I always smile, am pleasant and treat customers in a courteous manner
  • Understand and deliver all contractual terms relevant to the restaurant service
  • Promote the unit and act as a Compass Advocate at all time
  • To ensure you always carry out the required Health and Safety, Food Safety and Environmental procedures and follow legislation
  • Ensure you and your teams always keep the working and seating areas extremely clean, neat and tidy
  • Ensure you and your teams do not create potential health, safety or hygiene problems and if I see one I’ll fix it
  • To make sure you are aware of, and meet the legal and Company requirements for fire, safety, health and hygiene
  • To report health and safety issues using the company systems and ensure you make your Regional manager aware of this
  • Report all accidents and near misses on the AIR system
  • To promote good safety habits and methods of work at all times
  • To ensure stock received into your cafe is stored and checked for quality and quantity.
  • Ensure all stock held in your café is in dated and rotated at all times.
  • To operate machinery as shown and trained to do so, ensuring that the equipment is used safely and in accordance with current regulations and company policies   
  • To ensure that the business is operated in accordance with all HSEQ policies and procedures and the business is a safe place to work and visit
  • Ensure you follow the company waste management system and that all staff are trained and aware of this procedures
  • To maintain company and statutory records as required and to report any variance
  • Analyse and manage effectively all in unit costs.


  • Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive mental attitude
  • Experience of working in environments involving high levels of customer care
  • Management experience leading and inspiring a team to deliver and exceed results
  • Minimum 2 years catering experience ideally gained in a busy restaurant environment
  • Experience of working within brand guidelines to deliver results
  • Experience in retail or foodservice
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience of a similar role in the industry essential
  • Retail or Foodservice management experience essential
  • Proven experience of growing sales
  • Great track record of delivering excellent customer service essential
  • Broad business knowledge essential
  • Proven ability to prioritise and time manage


  • NVQ Level 2 in customer service
