Skipton Building Society has anexciting opportunity for a Credit Risk Analyst to join its Credit Risk &Risk Modelling team in Skipton. You will support risk management activity witha breadth of opportunity to add value to the Society. Weâ€™ve adapted really wellto home working during the current pandemic, so although the role is based atour Head Office in Skipton there would not be a requirement for you to be inthe office full time. You will have theopportunity to flexibly work across the Credit Risk & Risk Modellingteam to support leaders and collaborate with colleagues to deliver departmentpriorities and personal objectives as required. At times the role may alsoinvolve working with cross functional project teams.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Credit Risk Analyst, you will have apassion for analytics and have a natural curiosity to explore drivers of risk.Youâ€™ll support running critical processes by undertaking a range of analyticaltasks. You will contribute to the development and maintenance of key processesin Credit Risk. Youâ€™ll collate, create, and analyse your own data to contributeto committee content. You will haveaccess to a breadth of data and tools, where your expertise can turninformation into real insight and opportunity. As a highly motivatedindividual, you will support change, through initiatives and projects as wellas implementing your own ideas.
This role will allow you to build excellent relationshipswith a range of stakeholders, supporting activities across the Society. As a Credit Risk Analyst, you will supportthe team to manage lending and portfolio risk and support new mortgagelending.
You will have a strong awareness of theexternal environment, to inform potential enhancements to risk management andcommittee management information. Yourinsight and wider team engagement will support changes to lending and portfoliorisk management and ensure the on-going support of 2nd lineoversight or Lending Policy. You wonâ€™t hesitate to work autonomously and manageyour own workloads. Youâ€™ll continue yourdevelopment, gaining relevant specialist skills and training in appropriateanalytical tools to aid your work. There will be opportunity to work across theCredit Risk & Risk Modelling team on a range of activity.
