Job Purpose and Summary

As an experienced sales development manager you will have the opportunity to develop and implement a strategy to achieve the sales revenue/ profit objectives  and within budget as determined by the Imaging Supplies ( IS) Business Group Manager.

  • Develop and manage multi-level business relationship with the Channel Partners/ customers (in the assigned territory). Create business development plans with reseller partners to grow the Imaging Supplies media revenues
  • Orchestrate business development through Canon’s participation in sales meetings, sales training, conferences, road-shows to achieve mindshare within the reseller’s sales force and customers
  • Actively seek and analyze market data and trends to secure on-going feed back to NSO and CEL in order to develop Canon’s strategy for resellers, distributors and retailers.
  • Generate and grow business with the accounts, ensuring business plans, objectives and spend targets are agreed with every account. Manage the pricing policy to generate the required revenue, gross margin and share from each Reseller
  • Build effective communication at all levels of Partner’s organization.
  • Identify and resolve current issues with the account and provide feedback to reseller and NSO
  • Where necessary, provide sales and product training and demonstrations to the partners.
  • Collaborate with the colleagues from other departments – marketing, logistics, finance and service on execution of account strategies
  • Drive business through sales and marketing initiatives to achieve IS and Partners’ /customers objectives
  • Utilize Canon resources to create, tailor and deliver marketing and product initiatives for the Partner
  • Drive and promote the Partner Programme
  • Provide a revenue forecast of the reseller/ customers IS business with Canon, meeting the required procedures and timescales
  • Identify and work on large deals and tenders with the Resellers, using an effective sales process to ensure a sale is achieved
  • Co-ordinate key actions to maximize revenue growth and account coverage

What we ask

  • Good academic record.
  • Language Skills – Fluency in local language plus English an advantage
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience in account management
  • Business and commercial awareness
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work under own initiative
  • Ability to organize time and tasks most effective and efficient way
  • User of MS Excel and Power Point
  • Skilled in negotiation, presentation and demo skills
  • Canon product and solutions knowledge
  • Competitor Knowledge
  • Knowledge of Canon’s sales approach and customer proposition
