Grange View CE First School is a popular village church school with an enthusiastic, dedicated and hard-working team. All stakeholders are committed to maintaining and improving educational provision for all learners.

The Headteacher and Governors of this ‘Good’ school are seeking to appoint an experienced EYFS practitioner, devoted, enthusiastic and inspirational teacher to lead our team from 1st June 2023 to 31st Dec 2023 initially although this may be extended to February 2024. The role will involve planning and delivering learning throughout the primary curriculum model, however the successful candidate must have:

An EYFS qualification or experience or working in Early Years

Excellent classroom management skills

Excellent classroom practice, and high expectations of children’s work and behaviour.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The ability to lead the EYFS team.

Energy, enthusiasm and a good sense of humour.

A keen interest and knowledge of the Mastery Maths approach, Talk for Writing, Read Write Inc as phonics is essential.

Experience of meeting a range of Special Educational Needs

Recent experience of working with children with SEND

Confidence in their own literacy and numeracy skills

The highest expectations of pupil progress

Resilience and be self-motivated

A positive outlook and a nurturing approach

A solid understanding of the Primary curriculum

An understanding of Grange View CE School church school ethos

A commitment to work in close partnership with parents and carers.

The ability to develop positive relationships with children throughout school.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our committed team and you will be actively encouraged to further your professional development. The post is a full-time fixed term maternity cover and will commence 1st June 2023.
