Salary Up to £33,000 depending on experience
Location Miskin
 

Renishaw require a highly motivated and enthusiastic Maintenance Technician, with a wide range of general building services skills, to join the Miskin site in South Wales.

The successful applicant will work a 37 hour week, initially on a standard day shift position ‑ this is subject to change as the site activity increases and therefore requires a flexible approach to working hours from the applicant.

Responsivities

  • To carry out effective, proactive maintenance of the facilities and services for the site

  • To provide a high quality, reactive response to site and building faults and failures

  • To provide an emergency response to facility issues

Key requirements

  • A good general knowledge and relevant experience of factory and commercial building and systems repairs and renewals

  • General building skills

  • A good level of PC literacy

Desirable requirements

  • A time served apprenticeship

  • General knowledge of the following:

    • drainage and foul sewer

    • erection of stud plasterboard walls and partitions

    • plastering, tiling and decorating

    • suspended ceiling systems

Person specification

The successful applicant will be capable of working under their own initiative, with a good work ethic and excellent attention to detail in all aspects of given activities.  They will have a high standard of quality and finish of work. Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team are essential.
