We’re evolving what we do and how we do it and we’ve got an exciting newopportunity within the Financial Strategy and Business Partnering team. We’re looking for someone with passion, drive, an enquiring mind and theability to build strong relationships across many different stakeholder groups
Youwill provide senior support to the Strategic cost lead by leading and coordinatingthe bottom up activities, challenge any and all relevant analysis activitiesrequired to deliver the Society’s strategic cost ambitions. The role will bring insight and robustchallenge and support for existing and new cost initiatives across the fullspectrum of the leadership team, in order for the Society to prioritise itscurrent BAU and investment ambitions. The role will also be key to ensuring that any agreed reductions and/orbenefit are tracked and reported.

What you will bring
You’llneed a good understanding of strategic cost management with strong commercial acumen and understanding ofbusiness drivers.
The management information you produce will support our Senior Leadership Teamwith strategic decision making, so as well as producing the information youwill deliver this in a way that is concise and relevant for our leaders. Youwill be proactive in seeking to understand our cost base including costdrivers, productivity metrics and benefit realisation in order to encourageconstructive challenge and open up conversations around cost ambitions,ensuring they are in line with the society’s strategic vision.
Thekey competencies for the role are:

Youwill be able to use your expertise in this area to influence a range ofstakeholders through a collaborative approach.
Youwill have the flexibility of taking ownership over your workload; therefore theability to prioritise and achieve deadlines is a key element of the role.
