The College has a proud and successful tradition of supporting young people between the ages of 16 – 25 to build valuable life skills, qualification and confidence to support them on their journey towards future independence.
Cambian Pengwern College is a 52-week placement provision, has a proud and successful tradition of supporting students between the ages of 16 – 25 who have Moderate to Severe Learning Disabilities and Complex Needs, including some challenging behaviours, to gain valuable life skills, qualifications and confidence to support their onward journey towards independence.
Taking pride in the commitment to delivering quality learning through individualised programmes for the students which is supported by an extensive range of therapeutic and sensory input with amazing on-site facilities and opportunities within the local communities for students to learn and engage with members of the community.

We are looking for an outstanding leader who can demonstrate a proven successful track record, comprehensive understanding of both the Education and Care setting for SEN, experience with Care Inspectorate Wales and ESTYN with the drive to develop positive and engaging relationships with all the key stakeholders working closely with our teams.
You will be an expert in ensuring that the whole service is integrated allowing for wider support functions to be utilised effectively , allowing for the best outcomes both in care and education for all our young people
You will have a real eye for detail – knowing that our absolute commitment to the Safeguarding of our children and young people is our top priority. You will be able to demonstrate a detailed and insightful understanding of the regulatory environment that we operate in and the demands that this places on all aspects of our work.

This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children.
