Cambian is a leading provider of specialist education, providing a range of collaborative services for young people ensuring that each individual achieves his/her personal best.
Cambian Wisbech School, an independent DfE-registered day school which operates across two sites. The school provides specialist education for up to 44 students aged 7 to 17 with complex social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Majority of our pupils have EHCPs, are known to social services and have a history significant trauma, fractured family and social experiences, disruption in education. The pupils in our school exhibit a range of challenging behaviours and associated learning and communication difficulties. The school works proactively with a range of agencies and team of committed and dedicated staff to tailor interventions, educational experiences and support for all students in order to meet their individual needs.
We are looking to appoint an experienced and successful school leader who will be able to build on the success, embed good practices and move the school forward.
The selected candidate will be line managed by the SEMH Education Lead in the post.
You will have qualifications relevant to the role such as degree in teaching or management. NPQH is desirable.
You will have strong knowledge of Independent School Standards Regulations and Education Inspection Framework.
You will have extensive knowledge of safeguarding. Experience as a Designated Safeguarding Lead is essential.
You will have successful leadership experience in managing complex behaviours with trauma informed practice and appropriate interventions.
You will have concrete knowledge and experiencing of multi-agency working to support Looked after Children and directing on EHCP outcomes.
Your professional experience, coupled with your determination to achieve excellence, enthusiasm and a positive approach will help you to develop the school and ensure that every pupil makes outstanding progress.
