International Trade Executive – Creative Technology – London 

The Grow London Global business programme aims to support high growth London based companies to internationalise and enable aspiring exporters to prepare for internationalisation.  

This programme will act as a single front door for companies who have global growth ambitions.

Purpose of role 
 
Working closely with the Senior Trade Manager for Creative Tech and associated Trade Manager/s, to support the delivery and expansion of the programme which will include the following key responsibilities: 

 

Key Tasks 

  • Support the Senior Trade Manager and Trade Manager/s with account management of a portfolio of clients in the Creative Tech sectors, with a focus on the sub-sectors some of which include Retailtech, Fashtech, Mediatech, Adtech, Musictech, Immersive Tech, Digital Production and Gaming. 
  • Prepare and coordinate paperwork for clients in compliance with guidelines working closely with the compliance team.  
  • Coordinate roundtables, panels, networking activities for clients in the Creative Tech sector portfolio working closely with the Senior Trade Manager to engage and liaise with the programmes experts and ensure a consistent approach. 
  • Create and develop a pipeline of potential leads and clients for your sector team. 
  • Work closely with the Senior Trade Manager & Trade Manager/s to build a sector specific network to support the programme including potential clients, experts, Strategic Partners, Programme Partners and sector relevant stakeholders.  
  • Identify and attend sector relevant events to promote London & Partners and the programme and to build a pipeline of new companies onto the programme.  
  • Work with the content team to share intelligence on barriers/actions from client’s action plans to develop and deliver specific programme content to complement the core programme content.  
  • Support the Senior Trade Manager with sector specific peer-to-peer programme content delivery including event administration support where necessary. 
  • Maintain records, including data entry for client on-boarding and off-boarding sessions on our CRM.  
  • Realise the benefits of a flexible approach to work in undertaking the duties and responsibilities of this job, and participating in multi-disciplinary, cross-department and cross-organisational groups and project teams. 

 

You’ll have/bring 

  • Experience of project-based work. 
  • Experience of working with SMEs and/ or startups.  
  • Process driven.  
  • Ability to work independently. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Experience building and developing a meaningful network. 
  • Creative Technology sector experience or knowledge would be valuable.  
  • Ability to interact with a diverse range of stakeholders.   
  • An interest in economic development in London and an ability to pick up new subject areas quickly.  
  • Knowledge of public-funding would be an advantage. 
  • Effectively contributes creative and innovative solutions to projects and objectives.  
  • Adopts an agile approach and remains productive in ambiguous and fast changing environments.  
  • Helps foster collaboration, constructive dialogue and builds trust with peers.  
  • Adopts a learning mindset, using challenges and opportunities improve team and personal performance.
