What Will You Be Doing?

As an IT Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll be instrumental in maintaining a secure, stable, and scalable IT environment. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Infrastructure Operations:

  • Providing 3rd line support and resolving infrastructure incidents within agreed SLAs.
  • Identifying and managing repeat incidents, driving them to permanent resolution.
  • Monitoring and maintaining infrastructure performance, security, and capacity, responding to alerts proactively.
  • Applying cyber security best practices, ensuring configurations and deployments align with company standards.
  • Automating routine tasks using PowerShell and other scripting tools.
  • Keeping accurate documentation of systems, processes, and projects.
  • Carrying out on-site visits when required.

Project Delivery:

  • Contributing to IT project delivery and taking technical ownership where required.
  • Supporting M&A integration activities, ensuring smooth transitions for newly acquired businesses.

 

What Are We Looking For?

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Proven hands-on experience in IT infrastructure support, with at least 3 years in a similar role.
  • Strong expertise in Windows Server and Active Directory management.
  • Experience working with Azure IaaS/PaaS and Microsoft 365.
  • Hands-on experience with Entra ID (Azure AD) and Identity Management.
  • Proficiency in automation and scripting tools such as PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with virtualisation technologies (e.g., Hyper-V, Veeam).
  • Understanding of networking principles, security best practices, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Experience with collaboration tools such as SharePoint, Teams, and Exchange.
  • A problem-solving mindset, focused on long-term solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • A customer-focused approach, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for occasional on-site visits.
