Role & Department

Canon EMEA is looking for a Logistic Planner in the European Demand & Supply Management within our Imaging Supplies Business. Imaging Supplies is related to all media (e.g. paper) and materials we supply to our customers.
In this role you will drive delivery of benefits to the EMEA organization by being responsible for the EMEA Purchase and supply planning for specific Products, Product Groups & control of the inventory level (AMT & TO days), facilitating and maximizing EMEA sales, optimizing the inventory levels, costs and risks within the Supply Chain Organization and enhancing inventory-related KPI’s (Inventory Freshness, Inventory amount and Turn-Over days).
Key internal stakeholders, you will be working with HQ Product Marketing, EMBU, SCM (Inbound, Transport, WH operations), Finance, ICT, NSO/RSO. For the external stakeholders you will be working with Canon Inc., 3rd party suppliers Independent distributors, OEM customer, 3rd party service provider.
What we give

As a Logistic Planner you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the weekly and monthly EMEA supply planning.
  • Issue resolutions across the supply chain to:
    • Facilitate maximizing EMEA sales.
    • Keep the monthly inventory targets (including EMBU).
  • Actively participating in the (product related) monthly S&OP meeting to agree on a realistic EMEA purchase and demand plan as a base to  create the Purchase Plan.
  • Determining which product is hot or not.
  • Being accountable for correct, online supply visibility (for the full planning horizon).
  • VELC split, material kit planning, replenishment orders and inter-warehouse transfers.
  • Being accountable for all Supply Planning attributes (naming, sourcing, lead-times, FLM, etc.).
  • Managing BOL and EOL by the product set-up and implement the supply planning according to the sales activities.
  • Optimizing supply planning performance by making detailed analysis.
  • Liaise with Canon INC/3rd party suppliers to make quick supply changes possible.
  • Be the first line contact for/to our stakeholders for questions related to:
    • First point of contact for PM and product demand related matters.
    • Overall supply situation (Hot / non-hot situation).
    • Request for additional supply.

Responsible for inventory

  • Planning and control of the EMEA Purchase planning which balance the drive for sales maximization and our EMEA budgeted inventory. levels (AMT & TO days) and inventory freshness.
  • Lead the process every quarter; suggest which products to scrap.
  • Create inventory simulations that will support the preparation of a purchase and inventory budget.

Responsible for Project involvement

  • Initiate and lead internal projects or projects with other departments in order to improve the EDSM activities.
  • As assigned actively participate in projects (e.g. corporate improvement, systems upgrades, process improvements, etc.) which are affecting EDSM.
  • Actively support process improvement and knowledge sharing either departmental or companywide by initiating these yourself or by supporting the initiator.

 

What we ask

For this role, you will have:

  • Minimum MBO-level education or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar position.
  • Good understanding of overall Supply Chain principles.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic international business environment.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch (both written and spoken).
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office.
  • Ability to solve complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions.
  • Ability to work independently & pro-actively.
  • Comfortable working with different systems and ICT solutions.
  • Able to use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services.
  • Able to act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
