Job Purpose and Summary
Canon have a role for a Photo/Video Sales Development Specialist within our B2C sector. In this role you will:
– Develop strong working relationships with Regional Sales Offices (RSO), marketing and sales teams, as well as central product and marketing teams at HQ, to ensure company-wide collaboration and co-ordination to initiate and accelerate sales and category/channel/ country development efforts across DRBG.
– Liaise directly with product management and our European Demand & Supply Team (EDSM) to ensure appropriate resources are available to achieve sales budget, support local business request.
– Research best practise and promote use of effective sales and marketing tools for use of RSO. Evaluate how well the channels meet customer needs and together with Marketing develop activities driving sales and awareness.
– Support PV Sales Manager in the development of effective reporting of sales results and related information as well as in budget process to ensure accurate budgeting for sales & profit per RSO & PG.
– Research, collate and gather marketing intelligence on relevant competitors and market developments, analyse and report. Select and propose suitable sales tools and models for use by the sales channels and by Canon partners. Optimise channel strategy with differentiated ranging per market/key retailer.
– Identify and prioritise segments based upon the business opportunity. Assist in the development of value propositions for targeted business areas and products and segments.
– Manage and lead specific assigned business projects.

What we ask
Personal Specification e.g. Technical skills, knowledge, experience required
- Consumer Channel Knowledge & Development Experience
- Experience product management or liaising between product management, product marketing and sales departments
- Excel and Powerpoint skill to summarise data and make a presentation
Desired knowledge areas:
- Good technical understanding of Consumer Photo, Video and Compact Photo Print products
- Sales or Marketing experience in consumer electronics
