Canon EMEA is looking for a Pre-Delivery Installation Quality Specialist, who makes sure that the quality of the EDC (European Distribution Center) pre-installation activities are correctly followed up by 3PL technicians based on Canon standards & country requirements, drives continuous improvement of Pre-Delivery Installation (PDI) process towards an effective, efficient and integrated operation between all relevant NSOs, continuously seeks opportunities to reduce cost and maximize revenue on Canon corporate level and increase customer satisfaction, and participates in business transformation programs/ projects linked to PDI quality.

 

What we give

As a Pre-Delivery Installation Quality Specialist, you will cover several areas:

EDC PDI Operational & Technical activities

  • Prepare PDI forecast plan based on NSOs inputs, and prepare with 3PL the required resources with proactive plan in case of un-forecasted peaks and dips;
  • Create and monitor PDI (including plug & play) daily planning in line with forecast and business requirements/agreements;
  • Communicate and align with NSOs on prioritization planning during PDI peak season;
  • Support NSOs to improve forecast accuracy by identifying and sharing periodical (monthly or weekly) gap analysis between PDI Forecast vs Actual capacity;
  • Monitor and guide 3PLs on daily pre-installation activities to ensure PDI quality Accountable for PDI technical information/ skills & trainings and cascade technical information to 3PL technicians;
  • Align and communicate closely with Canon Giessen (PDICC) on DOA’s and technical details to continuous increase PDI quality Repair damage machines;
  • Lead and guide 3PLs on repair activities;
  • Organize and lead periodical EDC PDI “Central of excellence” meetings/ workshops with NSOs, Canon Giessen (PDICC) etc. to continuously improve PDI operational process and service quality.

Service Levels

  • Responsible for monitoring 3PL KPIs & agreed service levels and propose & implement corrective actions where required. Drive, support and initiate continuous process improvements and participate in (complex) PDI (plug & play) projects roll-out to increase overall customer satisfaction;
  • Maintain agreed service levels with business and 3rd party providers in all areas of pre-installation timing, damages, repair timing etc., and initiate continuous improvement plans and execute those together with 3rd party providers.

Systems

  • To be a super user and main contact for general users with regards to PDI systems like SIMS, ISS, PIOTS, INFOXA etc;
  • Having Basic knowledge and understanding of Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Transport Management System (TMS);
  • Support and coach others like 3PLs & NSOs on general PDI system understanding;
  • Understand the correlation between the different system being in use in PDI operations Keep systems up to date.

Financials

  • Make sure the contracts with 3rd party suppliers are executed in line with written agreements Follow up closely and pro-actively on cost savings identified and report timely;
  • Support PDI project related activities as required by management.

 

What we ask

For this role, you will have:

  • Preferred Bachelor level (Dutch HBO) or equivalent in a relevant field;
  • At least 3-5 years of technical work experience with copy machines installation/ maintenance/repairs etc;
  • Experience with PDI tools (e.g. SIMS, ISS, PIOTS, INFOXA), Oracle, WMS, TMS);
  • Good communications skills for both technical details and business meetings;
  • Assertive team player with problem solving positive and collaborative mind set;
  • Able to work independently and with minimal guidance;
  • Fluent Business English (both written and spoken);
  • Ability to train/coach 3PL technicians.
