Salary: £52,000 – £57,000

About the role 

Macmillan are looking for a top-quality Senior Analyst to lead and deliver Macmillan’s data analytical projects within our Business Intelligence – Analytics team. Reporting to the BI Analytics Manager, you will play a key role in managing and delivering analytic projects which contribute to our strategy. The role involves working alongside other Insight & Performance team members and primarily focuses on analysing and interpreting outputs which add to Macmillan’s structured evidence base and producing customer, market, and trend insights to drive the organisation’s performance. 
 
To do this role you will have: 

  • Strong analytical and programming skills; including experience with SQL and Python 
  • Experience of predictive analytics, e.g. logistic regression or other predicting modelling techniques, segmentation and decision trees, across the customer journey; acquisition, retention, up sell, cross sell and churn models 
  • Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of the structure of databases and their implementation, ensuring quality, integrity and accuracy of data 
  • Ability to work with a wide range of technical and non-technical stakeholders 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to synthesise and present data in a usable manner for a range of audiences 
  • Strong team working and project management skills 
  • Experience of supporting operational planning and delivery processes
