Job Description
The Role
As a Senior Designer, you will collaborate closely with the Head of Design and play a pivotal role in leading and driving projects and new business pitch design for our agencies, including Spark Foundry, Starcom, Performics, and Zenith. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your expertise and creativity while working on diverse projects, including print, presentation design, branding design, layout design, and large format exhibition graphics.
You will lead and contribute to high-stakes, multimillion-pound new business pitches for some of the UK's most renowned brands.
Responsibilities
- Lead and drive projects, collaborating closely with the Head of Design, to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality work.
- Mentor and provide guidance to midweight and junior designers, reviewing their work, and offering constructive feedback.
- Utilize your exceptional design skills and meticulous attention to detail to ensure the creation of visually captivating and impactful final products.
- Create compelling presentations and mock-ups that effectively communicate ideas and executions for client approval.
- Bring a fresh perspective and innovative approach to design challenges, leveraging cultural awareness and an inquisitive mindset.
- Independently manage and oversee individual projects, ensuring they are completed on time and to the highest standard.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of UI and UX principles and their application in design projects.
Requirements
- Must have strong design experience in an in-house creative department or design firm.
- Extensive expertise and proficiency in the latest versions of PowerPoint, including slide master creation, designing for various output media (projector, monitors, and print-outs), object animations, and video embedding. Familiarity with PC/Mac differences is crucial.
- Exceptional mastery of Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong creative, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven team environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with HTML, WordPress, and motion graphics is highly desirable.
- Outstanding conceptual skills, a keen eye for design, layout expertise, and advanced typography knowledge.
- A proactive and positive mindset, approaching briefs and production challenges with enthusiasm.
