Are you a Senior Building Services Electrical Engineer looking to work on a variety of projects?

Our Building Services Electrical Engineering team in Glasgow are expanding and looking to appoint a Senior Electrical Engineer.
You can expect to be involved in a range of diverse and interesting projects across both the private and public sector. You will engage will clients across industries to include healthcare, heritage, energy, education, retail, blue light, commercial and local authority.
In addition, you will work to ensure projects are delivered within time, quality and budget constraints.
Joining the team, will see you playing a pivotal role delivering technical and commercial solutions, with a clear focus on quality standards. Day to day responsibilities will include:
- Delivering electrical designs and reports across projects, as part of a single or multi-disciplinary design team
- Carrying out all stages of electrical design from initial concept to completion
- Actively contribute to the wider multi-disciplinary design teams
- Helping to ensure projects are delivered on time
- Liaising directly with clients and contractors
- Understanding and complying with all Health & Safety requirements, practices and procedures
- Assisting in the management of project resources and costs
- Supervising junior Engineers and Technician and deputising for senior staff as appropriate
About You
We are looking for an experienced and design-focused Senior Electrical Engineer who has Chartered Engineer status and/or degree level qualification. The successful Senior Electrical Engineer should have the desire and capabilities to develop their career within a people and client orientated construction and property consultancy.
Key knowledge and experience we’d like you to have:
- Knowledge of H&S/CDM requirements and current legislation e.g., UK Building Regulations
- Familiarity with electrical and lighting design software’s such as Hevacomp/Amtech/Dialux
- Fire alarm and emergency lighting design experience
- Knowledge and understanding of BS7671
- Structured wiring system and security system design experience
- Resource planning and management experience – desirable
- Knowledge of construction industry design processes and procurement arrangements
