Our IT Departmentunderpins the operations of Skipton Building Society and allows us to utilisetechnology to better serve our customers. Looking after the Infrastructure forboth Head Office and our nationwide Branch Network, we are looking to add to theProject Management team with a dynamic and experienced IT Technical ProjectManager.
This is anexciting time to join our team to help shape the future of Skipton BuildingSociety through the delivery of a variety of large-scale transformationaltechnical projects.
You will beresponsible for the delivery of technical IT projects, making sure that theyare delivered following the Society’s project management processes andmethodology.
As part of therole we expect you to foster and enhance strong working relationships withstakeholders, suppliers and colleagues alike. This will help when selecting andengaging with third party suppliers to ensure best value is achieved for theSociety. Another key part of this role will also be identifying andanticipating operational and regulatory risk and managing these accordingly.
You willinspire and engage project sponsors, project team members as well as keystakeholders through the promotion of the Society’s objectives, values andbehaviours, and contribute towards our high performance culture. This will bedone by challenging, monitoring and championing best practise within theProject Management team andwider departments.
The idealcandidate will possess a proven track record of successfully deliveringtechnical projects from inception to live operation where quality is paramount.You should be comfortable working on multiple projects concurrently, managingpredominantly in-house matrix managed resources and occasionally 3rd parties. You must be experienced in delivering within Waterfall and Agile / Scrumframeworks.
You will have astrong technical understanding of IT Infrastructure (including LAN, WAN,Firewalls, Storage, Telephony) as well as strong understanding of deliveringinto cloud based services / providers, including the Microsoft Azure and M365Product suite. It is essential that you have a formal Project Managementaccreditation. Also, it would be highly desirable if you have experience inITIL as well as an analytical approach with a high level of attention todetail.
Finally usingyour interpersonal skills to develop and maintain productive workingrelationships with key stakeholders is key, as is and the capability totranslate complex IT concepts to a non-technical audience.
