Job Purpose and Summary
The Supply Chain Specialist is integral to the success of the Supply Chain and Business Operations at Canon. The role will focus on analyzing the supply chain and using the data to identify and suggest projects, drive those through to fruition working often across departments. This will ensure that problems are addressed, we improve operations and drive a cost-effective Supply Chain.
This role will focus on all aspect of logistics; carriers, warehouse, final mile provider, customs broker, costs plus inventory aspects: stock management, returns, movements etc, and will provide cover for the inventory and logistics sub teams holidays.
This role will also be responsible for handling escalations and dealing with urgent operational issues on a regular basis.

What we ask
- Run and distribute weekly and monthly reports on inbound and outbound movements, warehouse functions, final mile partner, logistics and other supply chain functions to allow us to track KPIs and SLAs. Monitor service exceptions. Proactively analyze trends to identify any issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders in the business and share best practice to help educate the other areas on key dependencies and issues. Champion and deliver continuous improvement projects. Use strong communication and presentation skills to explain problems and coordinate projects.
- To support on time inbound and outbound delivery process.
- To understand Customs procedures, ensure the relevant declarations are correctly made and carry out reporting to ensure compliance (eg Instrastat, VAT, Extrastat.)
- Ensure relevant processes are in place to ensure that we adhere to the supply chain rules and regulations. Maintain regular contact with customs broker to monitor and track, escalate where required
- Oversee outsourced insurance claims process
- Work closely with Finance teams to maintain accuracy of costs, inventory and ensure that compliance requirements are met.
- Provide a source of specialization with respect to any transport queries Canon may have and proactively respond to any queries raised.
- Support ongoing warehouse optimization program to maximize space and minimize costs.
- Act in the capacity of Subject Matter Expert, of supply chain topics, and of procedures and systems utilized by teams within the Canon Operation.
- Cost Management – monitor and review monthly transport invoices. Check for accuracy against actual rate card, contract and agreements. Responsible for raising queries to challenge any discrepancies. Maintain a monthly log to track any discrepancies and ensure that these are challenged with relevant supplier. Work to support the overall management of supplier contracts.

Salary: 30 – 37k <br /><br />No agencies.
