Role & Department
Canon EMEA is looking for a Facility Management Technical Specialist in the Facility Management department (FM). They would be responsible for technical- and building maintenance, and other services to ensure that the requirements of the Canon organization and its employees are met.
The Facility Management Technical Specialist looks after the services that help the business to function properly. The scope includes areas like technical- and building maintenance and operations, constructional activities, energy management, occupancy, space management. The building including its installations is owned by Canon and dates from 1986. Capacity: approx. 1000 workstations.

We are looking for a colleague who, with their technical background and experience can assist the Facility Management, and be part of the implementation of the multiyear maintenance program and be involved in the re-design of specific areas in the building. In 2023 we are aiming to start the renovation of the Conference centre and the office areas, later on new projects are planned, also in connection with the Paris Climate Agreement to reduce CO2 emissions. All activities are part of the multiyear maintenance program and include numerous activities from a technical- and building- related nature.

What we give

As a Facilities Management Technical Specialist you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting the FM Manager and having regular consultations with representatives of technical sub-contractors.
  • Reviewing third-party quotes and supervising projects within the organization.
  • Operational knowledge about heating, Ventilation & airconditioning (HVAC)
  • Making an inventory and advise on the scope of projects and then, together with your colleagues, ensure that the projects are brought to a successful conclusion.
  • Working together with members of the Facilities Management team.

What we ask

For this role, you will requires:

  • A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or completed education MBO level 4 in the direction of electrical engineering or similar or HTS/MTS degree.
  • A few years of experience working as a technician.
  • Knowledge of Nen3140
  • Assessing quotations and making calculations is no problem.
  • Extensive experience in electrical installations & lighting.
  • Sufficient knowledge of national and international regulations, laws and regulations.
  • You master Office 365, knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
  • Good command of both the Dutch and English languages in speaking and writing.
