Salary: Up to £27,000 per annum depending on experience

We have a really exciting opportunity to join the Compass Group family as part our fantastic Healthcare team known as Medirest.  The role is a Welbeing Partner position where you will support the development and delivery of nutrition, health & wellbeing education, resources and services to our teams. You will also work with the wider team to support the Wellness and People agenda across our many sites

The role will be a mixture of home/office based (Parklands,Birmingham) working with 2 – 3 days a week travelling to our various sites 

This is a newly created role for our healthcare sector so your responsibilities will grow and evolve as you do in your new position but you should expect them to include:

  • Assisting in devising and taking the lead in delivering the Wellbeing Agenda
  • Supporting unit health fairs
  • Being the Healthcare Wellbeing link and working cross sector
  • Developing working relationships with key Wellness operators within NHS Trusts
  • Proactively seeking out NHS Wellbeing initiatives and proactively promoting, where applicable
  • Attending Wellbeing events held by NHS and other relevant programmes and embedding your learnings
  • Managing and driving the use of the Wellness e-mail inbox to provide support to employees
  • Producing reports, when requested, including a quarterly Wellness report
  • Creating and delivering training sessions
  • Delivering and tracking the standard Food Information Regulation (FIR) training
  • Supporting development of education material – leaflets, posters etc
  • Carrying out health MOT’s
  • Assisting in providing specialist advice
  • Promoting nutrition & wellbeing advice via website content, e-learning tutorials and webinars, seminars, audio and video podcasts and social media etc.
  • Being an advocate of change and promoting best practice

We are looking for applications from candidates who can demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Qualification or experience in sports nutrition, exercise training or another relevant subject
  • Qualification or experience in Mental Health for example a BSc or MSc in psychology
  • Experience of implementing Wellbeing initiatives 
  • Proactive and with the ability to work and manage a busy diary independently
  • Confidence in communicating to large groups of people of varying knowledge
  • Must be willing to travel and stay away from home
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A passion for keeping up to date with research and national health events
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Full driving licence
