Job Description

We are currently migrating our core tech services from a managed, on-premise data centre to a cloud solution managed in house. To support this new infrastructure, we are recruiting a Workplace Tech Engineer skilled in Azure, Intune and M365 configuration and lifecycle support to contribute to the strategic direction of the team.

The motivated individual will manage Azure, including AD, Virtual Desktop, and servers. They will coordinate Windows 10 devices with Intune and MacBooks with Jamf, ensuring configuration, patching, deployment, and security. Additionally, they will handle the M365 suite, including Exchange, Teams, and SharePoint.

What you will do:

  • Support the team in becoming a centre of excellence, who runs and supports innovative cloud based technologies to enhance customer experience
  • Administer Azure AD, employingsophisticatedd techniques for identity and roles management, user provisioning, and access controls.
  • Manage Azure Virtual Desktop infrastructure, encompassing deployment, configuration, and ongoing monitoring to ensure optimal performance and user experience.
  • Oversee server management tasks within the Azure environment, including provisioning, patching, monitoring, and implementing performance optimization strategies.
  • Manage Windows devices end-to-end via Intune, demonstrating configuration profiles, implementing comprehensive patch management strategies, orchestrating seamless autopilot deployments, and ensuring efficient application packaging and distribution.
  • Manage MacBooks end-to-end using Jamf, encompassing configuration, app packaging, patching, and adherence to rigorous security policies to safeguard organizational data and ensure compliance.
  • Administer the M365 estate, while maintaining the highest standards of security, availability, and user productivity.
  • Collaborate closely with multi-functional teams to fix and resolve sophisticated technical issues related to Azure, Windows 10, MacBooks, and M365 applications, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal disruption.
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and standard methodologies, while providing proactive recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Provide 24 hour on call support for Azure, Intune, JAMF and M365 services.

Qualifications

We’d love you to have:

  • A passion for technology, innovation and how we can do things differently for our business and customers.
  • Experience of ITIL Service Management applied in an Agile model (ITIL Certified preferable).
  • MS365 and Azure certified (AZ900 and MS900 Essential, AZ140 & AZ104 desirable)
  • Extensive hands-on experience in Azure administration, including Azure Active Directory, Azure Virtual Desktop, and server management, with a deep understanding of Azure services, security, and networking.
  • Strong proficiency in managing Windows 10 devices via Intune.
  • Advanced expertise in managing MacBooks end-to-end using Jamf.
  • In-depth knowledge of M365 applications, including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and other Microsoft applications, with experience in administering and optimizing these services.
  • Solid understanding of networking protocols, security principles, and identity management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyse complex technical issues and develop effective resolutions.
