Overview

Data and Rankings Officer (CC12998) – Bath, BA2 7AY

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Data and Rankings Officer to join our International Relations Office at the University of Bath. This newly created role is central to supporting the University’s international rankings activities.

About the role

You will play a key part in coordinating rankings-related projects and managing institutional data, particularly within our CRM system. Your work will directly contribute to the University’s global reputation by ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of partnership data, supporting rankings submissions, and helping implement improvement plans.

You will work closely with the International Rankings Project Manager and liaise with colleagues across Faculties and the School, providing insights and support based on CRM data. You will also help track changes in global ranking methodologies and assist in briefing internal stakeholders.

This is a varied and impactful role that combines project coordination, data management, and stakeholder engagement. While experience in data analysis is beneficial, it is not essential. What matters most is your ability to work collaboratively and actively contribute to project success through clear communication and effective teamwork.

About you

Bringing a thoughtful and detail-oriented approach, you enjoy working with data and systems to support strategic initiatives. You’re highly organised, a confident communicator, and committed to delivering high-quality work in a collaborative environment.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Experience working with databases, including updating records and maintaining data accuracy.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Experience supporting project coordination or administrative processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Additional experience that would be beneficial includes:

  • Working in the higher education sector.
  • Producing basic data summaries or visualisations.
