Your role

We are seeking an Engagement Manager with consulting and/or engineering experience to join Capgemini Engineering. We are looking to attract candidates with a track record of delivering projects and bids in complex engineering, business or technological transformation projects.

 

As an Engagement Manager, you will lead a blended team of engineering SMEs and consultants to deliver against client requirements and identify solutions to their business problems. This will involve managing bid activities, and mobilising and delivering projects that will lead to the convergence of physical and digital worlds through technology, engineering and manufacturing expertise.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Project delivery and management, Bid management, Project planning, quality and controls
  • Contract and scope management, Financial monitoring and reporting
  • Revenue and margin management and improvement, Client liaison
  • Tracking and reporting progress to time, cost and quality
  • Risk management, Quality control, Continuous process improvement
  • Problem resolution, Resource allocation, Client satisfaction

Your profile

We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in delivering engineering, manufacturing, and broader business or technological change projects. You will bring significant experience in leading complex programmes, working closely with clients to understand evolving requirements, and shaping effective solutions in uncertain or fast‑moving environments. You will be confident managing project performance across time, cost and quality, while maintaining excellent attention to detail and ensuring robust financial and risk governance throughout.

The ideal candidate will have a solid track record in consultancy or client collaboration, paired with a developed understanding of project planning, budgeting, revenue recognition and contract management. You will be comfortable leading multi‑functional teams, driving margin improvement, and providing clear, accurate reporting at all levels. Due to project requirements, you must be a Sole UK National and able to obtain MOD SC clearance.

  • Significant experience delivering engineering, manufacturing and/or business transformation projects, including consultancy or client‑facing collaboration, and the ability to shape solutions from incomplete requirements.
  • Minimum 5 years’ project, programme or bid management experience, with at least 2 years leading complex, multi‑disciplinary teams to achieve time, cost and quality objectives.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen covering project finances, budgeting, revenue recognition, margin improvement, risk management and contract management.
