We are seeking a Data Scientist to join the Sentinel Stroke National Audit Programme (SSNAP)—the leading source of stroke data for England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering complex projects that drive improvements in stroke care and research. 
 
About SSNAP
SSNAP is a national healthcare quality improvement programme based in the School of Life Course and Population Sciences at King’s College London. We measure both the processes of care (clinical audit) provided to stroke patients and the structure of stroke services (organisational audit) against evidence-based standards. Since 2013, SSNAP has recorded over 900,000 cases, making it the most comprehensive stroke audit in the UK. 

About the role

The successful candidate will be a keen problem-solver and a team-player and will demonstrate that they can formulate inventive solutions to technological challenges. 
 
​The postholder will be part of a highly collaborative and inclusive team. Proficiency in the use of programming tools for data and database manipulation is essential. Applicants will have a strong interest in and knowledge of clinical research data, a proactive attitude, and excellent organisational and planning skills. 
 
This is a full-time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract until 31/03/2027.
