Benenden Health is a leading UK not-for-profit healthcare provider committed to offering low-cost private healthcare. We are recruiting for an experienced Compliance Manager to join our team.

Reporting to the Senior Compliance Manager, you’ll support and constructively challenge first line in order that the business meets its regulatory obligations and delivers good consumer outcomes. The role will support the delivery of appropriate reporting and Management information for the Executive, Board and Board Committees to make informed regulatory decisions.

You’ll be a subject matter expert on complex FCA and PRA regulations and how they apply to the business.

As Compliance Manager you’ll provide ongoing support, guidance and advice to the team and wider business on regulatory matters including representing Compliance on projects, oversight of regulatory reporting and financial crime responsibilities.

You’ll have responsibility for identifying legislative and regulatory change through a horizon scanning programme and drive forward relevant change to successful implementation.

The Compliance Manager will be responsible for reviewing and signing off financial promotions and other relevant material to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and will create and maintain the Compliance Manual and an inventory of regulatory obligations.

The Benenden Health office is based in York and whilst there will be an opportunity to work from home, this role is offered on a hybrid basis and there will be requirement of a weekly attendance at the office.

What you’ll bring

  • Demonstrable experience of working in a financial services compliance, preferably with insurance sector and team management experience.
  • Strategic thinker with expert understanding of FCA and PRA principles, rules and best practice with a proactive and professional approach
  • Ability to analyse and communicate complex matters in a way that is tailored to the relevant audience including up to Board level.

First stage interviews will be by Teams Tuesday 24th, Wednesday 25th or Thursday 26th February. 2nd interviews will be held at our York office Thursday 12th March
