About the role
Are you passionate about creating cleaner, safer and more sustainable travel? Do you want to lead projects that make walking, wheeling and cycling open for all in Cambridgeshire?
We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Local Transport Improvements team, delivering developer contribution schemes that make a real difference to how people move around our county.
About the role
You’ll take responsibility for the end‑to‑end development and delivery of transport infrastructure projects, from early feasibility through consultation, detailed design and construction. Your work will focus on delivering developer mitigation schemes. These are schemes funded through planning consents and are designed to offset the impact of developments on the local area.
This is an opportunity to shape the future of travel in Cambridgeshire delivering schemes that support healthier, greener and more equitable communities.

About you
We’re looking for someone with
- A strong track record delivering highways or transport infrastructure projects.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience of project and programme management, including budget control and procurement processes.
- Understanding of design, construction, risk and CDM requirements.
- A passion for improving active travel and supporting the future of transport in Cambridgeshire.
