Faculty/ Directorate

Fine Art at De Montfort University sits within the Visual Arts Subject Group in the School of Creative Industries and Culture, in the Faculty of Technology, Arts and Culture. Consisting of three distinct but inter-related areas – Photography, Fine Art and Foundation in Art and Design, we are well equipped to foster dynamic cross-disciplinary dialogue and practice.

Role

The School of Creative Industries and Culture is seeking to appoint a lecturer to cover maternity leave who will contribute teaching to all levels of the Fine Art programme. We would particularly welcome applications from candidates who have teaching experience in interdisciplinary practice-based, professional practices, and art historical and theoretical topics. 

Main responsibilities will include year leadership, module leadership, delivery of lectures, tutorials, workshops, assessment, student attendance monitoring and related administration. All activities will be delivered on the Leicester DMU campus.

Ideal Candidate 

We are seeking talented people who are specialists in a wide range of fine art disciplines can deliver teaching in practical, art historical/theoretical, and professional practices in all areas of fine art as expanded practice. Potential primary teaching areas include but are not limited to: painting, drawing, sculpture, installation, community engaged practice and digital art.

This is a fixed term, Maternity cover role.
