Role: Business Analyst

You will bridge business needs and technology for card acquiring platforms and payment processing. You will turn complex requirements into actionable deliverables so acquiring systems, settlement services, and related workflows meet operational, regulatory, and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements gathering and analysis

  • Partner with business stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate functional and non‑functional requirements for acquiring systems.
  • Analyse current processes, identify optimisation and automation opportunities, and propose measurable improvements.
  • Verify alignment with compliance, security, and industry standards (PCI DSS, scheme rules).

Solution design support

  • Translate business needs into clear technical specifications in partnership with product owners, architects, and engineering.
  • Support design workshops, clarify acquiring workflows, settlement processes, and end‑to‑end transaction lifecycle.

Stakeholder engagement

  • Act as liaison between business units, technology teams, and external vendors/processors.
  • Facilitate workshops, walkthroughs, and formal sign‑offs; manage dependencies and open issues.

Testing and validation

  • Define acceptance criteria and support UAT for acquiring platform changes.
  • Confirm delivered solutions meet business objectives and regulatory requirements; track defects to closure.

Documentation and reporting

  • Maintain high‑quality artefacts: process flows, use cases/user stories, data mappings, interface specs, and RAID logs.
  • Provide regular progress, risk, and dependency updates to stakeholders.

Skills & Experience

Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills; concise writing and clear visual modelling.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.Hands‑on with Jira, Confluence, and process modelling tools (BPMN/Visio or similar).Exposure to financial‑services regulatory frameworks and compliance standards (PCI DSS, PSD2/SCA, card‑scheme rules).
