Commerce Manager, Label-Managed Catalog – New York, 10019, United States of America 

How we LEAD:

We are seeking a strategic and execution-driven Manager of Commerce to support or directly manage physical and digital commerce initiatives across the catalog of active frontline artists. This role is designed to bring a modern, dynamic approach to catalog monetization, aligning commerce strategy with ongoing artist activity, touring, anniversaries, cultural moments, and new releases.

The role will include physical product strategy (CD, LP, special formats), inventory and stock management, and direct-to-consumer (DTC) eCommerce initiatives, including artist webstores and merchandise programs. The position will also require a strong understanding of the DSP ecosystem, with the ability to support or directly manage relationships with select smaller or emerging digital platforms.

How you’ll CREATE:

Key Responsibilities – Physical Product & Supply Chain

• Work across the commerce strategy for physical formats across frontline catalog releases, including CDs, vinyl (standard and specialty), box sets, and exclusive configurations
• Contribute to forecasting, manufacturing quantities, and lifecycle planning
• Participate in inventory and stock level management, ensuring optimal availability while minimizing overstock and obsolescence
• Identify opportunities for timely represses, format innovation, limited editions, and retail exclusives tied to artist moments and marketing campaigns

Key Responsibilities – eCommerce & DTC

• Work across eCommerce initiatives across artist webstores and label-owned DTC platforms
• Drive strategy for product assortment, pricing, bundles, and promotional offers
• Partner with digital marketing teams to optimize conversion, fan engagement, and CRM-driven commerce initiatives
• Analyze performance data to refine merchandising strategies and improve fan lifetime value

Key Responsibilities – Merchandise Integration

• Collaborate with merch partners and internal teams to align music products and merchandise into cohesive fan offerings
• Support development of tour, drop-based, and evergreen merch strategies connected to catalog and frontline activity
• Ensure seamless coordination between merch, music releases, and marketing timelines

Key Responsibilities – DSP & Digital Account Management

• Maintain a strong working knowledge of the DSP landscape, including major platforms and emerging players
• Support or directly manage account relationships with select smaller DSPs, including setup, pitching, and performance tracking
• Collaborate with digital strategy teams to ensure commerce and streaming initiatives are aligned and mutually reinforcing

Key Responsibilities – Data & Communications

• Knowledge of how music trends on shortform platforms

• Instinct on strategies to amplify resurgent tracks via potential physical product and DSP Optimization. 

• Ability to analyze trend information sourced from multiple platforms and to relay stories internally and externally, tailored to partners’ needs.

Qualifications

• 3 – 5+ years of experience in music commerce, physical product, eCommerce, or merchandising, ideally within a major label or music-adjacent company
• Proven experience managing physical formats and inventory planning in a fast-paced environment
• Strong understanding of DTC eCommerce platforms, merchandising best practices, and fan engagement strategies
• Working knowledge of the DSP ecosystem, with comfort engaging directly with platform partners
• Highly analytical, with the ability to translate data into actionable strategy
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple artists and campaigns simultaneously
