About the role:
The Business Services & Compliance Coordinator plays a central role in ensuring that all catering and events operations function efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with internal and external standards. A key aspect of the position is the management of multiple software systems that underpin the organisation’s food safety, purchasing, recipe management, labelling, and EPOS operations. The coordinator is responsible for monitoring product updates, allergen changes, and menu adjustments within these systems, ensuring that operational teams are promptly informed of any relevant updates. This oversight helps maintain consistency, accuracy, and regulatory compliance across all sites.

These insights are shared with operational teams to support informed decision‑making and drive continuous improvement. The role also requires close collaboration with catering and events teams, offering support with software use, data interpretation, and system‑related menu changes.
Food safety is a major responsibility, with the coordinator completing comprehensive food safety audits every six months across each campus. They ensure that all teams follow the food safety management system and adhere to required HACCP processes. In addition to internal audits, the coordinator oversees the external audit process, liaising with relevant contacts to maintain high compliance standards. They also work closely with the catering team on matters related to equipment, food safety, and audit readiness.
The role serves as a dependable point of contact for senior managers seeking guidance on systems and compliance issues. This requires strong communication skills, consistency, and a thorough understanding of all operational software. The coordinator also contributes to staff development by assisting in the delivery of training, ensuring team members understand the processes and can work collaboratively to improve them.
Supporting the Head of Business Services & Development, the coordinator helps manage the daily operation, maintenance, and optimisation of all software packages used within Kings Catering & Events. Their work ensures that systems run smoothly, compliance is upheld, and operational teams are equipped with accurate information and effective tools.
Overall, the Business Services & Compliance Coordinator is essential in maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and system integrity across the organisation, acting as the link between software operations, compliance requirements, and day‑to‑day catering activities.
