In this role, with a core focus on Colleague Productivity and IoT, you will lead major initiatives that enhance store and support-centre efficiency, uplift colleague experience, and modernise ways of working. You will champion the introduction and scaled rollout of IoT devices and intelligent technologies, improving operational performance through automation, data-led insights, and seamless digital interactions. You will manage cross-functional dependencies, orchestrate technical delivery, and ensure operational excellence across people, processes, and platforms to deliver secure, scalable, future-ready capabilities.
This role demands a hands-on delivery leader with strong technical competence, exceptional foresight, and the ability to navigate sophisticated environments. You will foster collaboration across engineering, product, store operations, and vendor partners, driving continuous improvement and embedding a culture of decision making.

What you’ll do
Using your technical expertise, you will remove delivery blockers, improve quality, and ensure programme efficiency. You will apply agile delivery practices to drive organisation‑wide change, building trust through predictable execution, transparency, and clear communication, following the M&S Way.
More specifically, the Senior TPM role embodies ‘own it and get it done’, with key responsibilities including:
- Lead sophisticated, multi-disciplinary initiatives and programmes within a product-led organisation, delivering innovative digital and IoT solutions that uplift colleague experience and operational efficiency.
- Track and manage end-to-end product and programme execution, ensuring delivery against outcomes through effective cadences, progress reporting, and transparent communication.
- Develop strategic roadmaps, objectives and key results, and investment priorities with Product Managers and Engineering to accelerate delivery of M&S’s colleague productivity ambitions and ensure a customer‑first approach across Tech.
- Own and assure the technical delivery and release strategy, advising senior partners, managing risks, and acting as the primary escalation point for high-impact issues.
- Drive proactive dependency and integration planning, enabling confident delivery across products, domains, and operational teams.

- Skilled in service management, with a strong service-first attitude that ensures colleague-facing tech is reliable, well-supported, and continuously improved.
- Commercially astute, able to build cases and manage vendor performance for high-value technical delivery.
- A strategic problem-solver who challenges assumptions and drives innovative, technology-led solutions.
- Outstanding partner manager, capable of influencing and engaging at all levels, including executive leadership.
