About the role
As a valued member of the legal team, the individual will provide essential legal and administrative support to the company’s legal and business teams.
This role focuses on advertising claims, contracts, and corporate governance/entity management matters, as well as overseeing the review, coordination, and approval of marketing materials through the company’s advertising claim review process. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years (or more) of paralegal experience in a corporation or law firm, be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced corporate environment while keeping the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
Your responsibilities
Claims Review and Process Management
- Review advertising content for Mead Johnson’s industry leading infant and toddler nutrition products, including market leading Enfamil and Nutramigen brands, to ensure compliance with law and and marketing standards.
- Facilitate the marketing claim generation and approval process in close coordination with Regulatory, Nutrition Science and Medical Affairs to manage timelines, approval meetings and completion of projects in the Veeva System.
- Support adoption of AI capabilities into the claims review process to enable better claim creation and more efficient review.
- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment regarding matters of significance, including evaluating legal and regulatory risk in marketing claims.
Contracts Administration
- Draft, review, and manage standard agreements such as NDAs, service agreements, vendor contracts, and amendments under the supervision of Senior Counsel.
- Maintain contract management systems, track key dates, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Engage in analysis, interpretation and application of legal and business requirements as it pertains to new and existing contractual matters.
- Support attorneys and business stakeholders in contract negotiation processes.
Corporate Governance & Entity Management
- Prepare and maintain corporate records, including board resolutions, meeting minutes, and shareholder communications.
- Assist with preparation and coordination of board and committee meetings.
Legal Operations & Administration
- Maintain electronic databases and filing systems for corporate records and contracts.
- Manage document execution processes, including DocuSign and notarization.
- Assist with special projects and research for the Legal Department.
- Perform non-manual, office-based work directly related to the company’s business operations and compliance functions.
The experience we're looking for
- Work in Evansville, IN or Parsippany, NJ office location at least 3 days a week.
- Bachelor’s degree and/or 3+ years experience as a paralegal or other relevant field.
- Experience reviewing marketing content, contracts, and have a general understanding of corporate governance.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Comfortable working in a high-speed, high-uncertainty environment where trail-blazing thinking and risk taking are encouraged.
- Are self-motivated, flexible and take the initiative to do what’s needed.
- Able to perform work that is varied, strategic, and requires advanced knowledge and problem-solving skills.
- Able to prioritize work autonomously, make recommendations , and contribute to decision-marking processes.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Veeva or similar cloud-based software.
- Experience with AI or general understanding of functionality and usage.
- Understanding of records management, purpose, and process.

Salary Range
USD $75,000.00
– $113,000.00
Pay Transparency
The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
