About the Role

The purpose of this role is to support the delivery of a research project funded by the British Academy by assisting with key research activities. The Research Assistant will contribute to literature reviews, data collection and management, and qualitative and/or quantitative data analysis. Core duties include supporting the preparation of research outputs such as reports and publications, maintaining accurate research records, assisting with ethical and administrative requirements, and collaborating with the research team to ensure the project is completed on time and to a high academic standard.

The anticipated interview date is Thursday 18th June 2026.

Please note that this is a 0.2 FTE (7.4 hours per week) fixed term contract for 2 months.

About You

We are seeking a detail-oriented Research Assistant to support a project funded by the British Academy. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in academic research, including conducting literature reviews, collecting and managing qualitative and/or quantitative data, and supporting data analysis. You should possess strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to contribute to research outputs such as reports, publications, and presentations. Experience with research software such as SPSS, R, Stata, or qualitative analysis tools like NVivo is desirable. The role also requires the ability to work collaboratively within a research team while managing tasks independently and meeting project deadlines.
