Salary: £54,325 p.a. (pro-rata 0.6 role) + benefits, based in SE London

Ravensbourne’s BA Multimedia and Broadcast Journalism is a new course which already has a range of working relationships with industry companies and practitioners.
The Role
We are looking for a Senior Lecturer to join the small, specialist team in Multimedia and Broadcast Journalism. This is a crucial role to support the development of the Multimedia and Broadcast Journalism course. The post is offered on a 0.6 (three days a week) basis. Working closely with the course leader, the role will involve:
- Teaching on campus
- Supervising final projects other practical course work
- Marking and assessing student work
- Mentoring students
The Candidate
You will have industry experience in a journalistic role, with a working knowledge of newsrooms and editorial processes. You may be a practitioner looking to expand their teaching experience or perhaps balance a 3 day a week commitment to teaching with freelance work.

You have:
- Experience of and enthusiasm for multimedia journalism
- An interest in journalistic technology such as Mossart, Open Media or similar
- First hand experience of journalistic storytelling
- A working knowledge of journalistic law and regulation
- A strong interest in teaching, and experience of either teaching or delivering industry training
- An ability to work as part of a small teaching team and, where needed, to work independently
- Responsiveness to student needs from a range of backgrounds
