JOB PURPOSE

The Manufacturing Process Engineer will help shape the future performance and agility of our Leather Goods production network in Italy. This role plays a key part in driving operational excellence, improving manufacturing performance and supporting sustainable growth across internal teams and external partners. You will work across functions to identify opportunities, implement meaningful improvements and help ensure our production processes deliver the highest standards of quality, efficiency and craftsmanship. Your expertise will also contribute to process optimisation initiatives and the ongoing development of business systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor manufacturing performance and drive improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Partner with external manufacturers to evaluate performance and manage the vendor rating process.
  • Support continuous improvement within cutting operations through lean manufacturing principles and data-led decision making.
  • Analyse workflows, supplier performance and operational processes to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with planning, purchasing, quality, logistics and production teams to reduce lead times and address operational challenges.
  • Define and track key production KPIs, delivering insightful reporting to support performance and change initiatives.

PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Degree in Management Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment, ideally gained in process improvement, industrial engineering or production-focused roles.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into practical business insights.
  • Experience supporting organisational change and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Confidence building collaborative relationships across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of reporting and business systems, including Microsoft Office applications and data visualisation tools, with strong written and spoken English skills. [
