Description: About the Role

Are you interested in an amazing career in youth work? Would you like the opportunity to earn whilst you learn?

Warwickshire County Council have a brand new opportunity to recruit 6 apprentice Youth Workers to join the Targeted Support Youth Service and start a career in youth work.

The youth work apprentice scheme has recently started which will enable you to become a professionally qualified JNC recognised Level 6 (degree level) Youth Worker. You will graduate with a degree in youth work on completion of the programme. (You can find more information about youth work Click here

The apprenticeship course will last for 3 years and the training will be a mixture of regular online lessons, course work and on the job training. Alongside this, you will work as part of Warwickshire’s Youth Work team delivering youth projects, schools work and 1-1 youth work. You will be working with our wonderful young people aged 11 to 18 years and be expected to work 2 evenings a week and occasional weekends. Your work location will be in a youth centre based in either in the North or the South of the county

Key Requirements

We are looking for candidates with at least two A levels or equivalent. You must also have your Maths and English Grade 4 or equivalent. You should really want to work with young people and have some experience of doing this. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidates. Is this you?
