Our Opportunity

Are you looking to start a career in engineering where you can earn while you learn and make a real difference? Pick Everard is offering an exciting opportunity for a Level 3 Apprentice Engineering Design Technician to join our Water Engineering team in Leicester.

As an Apprentice Engineering Design Technician, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers and technicians, contributing to live projects while developing core technical and professional skills.

You will:

  • Support the production of engineering drawings and models using CAD software
  • Assist with technical design work and project documentation
  • Learn about industry standards, regulations and safe design principles
  • Develop strong communication and teamwork skills within a professional consultancy environment

As part of our Water Engineering team, you’ll gain exposure to work across clean water, wastewater and drainage projects. Our engineers are actively involved in driving sustainable and resilient solutions, helping clients reduce environmental impact, improve efficiency and protect vital water resources for the future.

About You

You will combine off-the-job learning with practical, on-the-job experience at Pick Everard. This will equip you with the technical knowledge, behaviours and skills needed for a successful career in engineering.

We’re keen to hear from motivated individuals who:

  • Have a genuine interest in engineering, design and sustainability
  • Enjoy problem-solving and working as part of a team
  • Are eager to learn and develop in a professional environment
  • Have GCSEs (or equivalent) in Math’s and English (Science desirable), or are willing to work towards Functional Skills
