Who You Will Be Working With

 

You will join the Data Trust Capability in Capgemini’s Insights and Data (I&D) business unit. Insights and Data is a global business unit covering Enterprise Data Management, Cloud Platforms, Enterprise Content Management and AI & Analytics. 

 

Our team is one of the largest and most successful Data Management teams in the UK delivering innovative Data Management and Governance thought leadership to our clients.

 

The Enterprise Data Management provides services on Information Strategy, Data Governance, Master Data Management, Data Architecture, Data Migration and Lifecycle Management. 

 

We help our clients build an enterprise-class data platform that allows them to move ahead in their journey of data and insights. Primarily working with leading software vendors like SAP, Informatica, IBM, Oracle et al, the team are first and foremost Consultants, putting client requirements and industry best practices at the heart of delivery.

The Focus Of Your Role

 

We are seeking senior, delivery-focused individual with strong client-facing experience to drive data analysis for our client businesses. You will often act as a conduit into our client and take the lead in driving data issue resolution, enlisting the support of the relevant Business or Data Owners, Data Stewards and other technical forum members, as required, by providing Data Management expertise and guidance.

As a Data Analyst you will be responsible for delivering advanced analytical insights that support organizational decision-making and strategic planning. The role requires strong technical expertise, data literacy, and the ability to communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

Data Analysis & Insight Generation

  • Perform complex data analysis to identify key trends, patterns, and emerging issues.
  • Produce high-quality dashboards, reports, and visualisations.

 

Business Engagement

  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business questions and define analytical requirements.
  • Present insights to senior stakeholders clearly and effectively.

 

Data Quality & Governance

  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data used for reporting.
  • Support data quality improvements and validation processes.   

 

Advanced Analytics

 

  • Develop predictive models and conduct statistical analyses as required.
  • Support innovation in analytical methods and tools.

 

Collaboration & Standards

 

  • Work with technology teams on data pipeline improvements.
  • Contribute to the development of analytical standards and best practices.

 

Experience in leading small to medium sized teams. 

You may also offer insights to the wider community through blogs, articles and social media.

What You Will Bring

As a Data Analyst you will have 7-10+ years in analyst roles across data, security, compliance, or cloud platforms, with proven experience delivering enterprise scale solutions. You’ll have a strong background in data management and data security/governance programmes.

 

Experience

  • Ability to delve deep into a topic/requirement, analyse the impact and provide solutions.
  • Ability to assimilate information quickly and make informed decisions
  • Ability to use own initiative to resolve issues/ investigate and find solutions
  • Strong oral/written communication skills and presentation skills
  • Working within cross-region teams and projects
  • Experience in delivering projects using an Agile methodology
  • Significant experience in data analysis or business analytics roles.
  • Strong SQL proficiency.
  • Expertise in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with statistical tools (Python, R, etc.).
  • Clear communication and stakeholder-engagement skills.

 

“Must-have” skills:

  • Hands-on experience in the areas of Data Analysis, Data Profiling, Data Management, Data Migration and Data Quality Management. 
  • Experience of working with a recognised Agile or Iterative development methodology (e.g. Scrum, XP, DSDM) 
  • Experience of Agile documentation including Backlogs, Customer Journeys, Use Cases, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria etc 
  • Good facilitation and influencing skills with the ability to work with large groups of customers of varying level of seniority  
  • Experience working with leading data applications for Tier 1 vendors such as Informatica, SAP, IBM, Oracle, and cloud services providers (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform) 
  • Demonstrable experience on several data projects with focus on Business analysis or Data Analysis  
  • Demonstrable experience on at least 2 end-to-end data centric projects as a Data analyst or Business analyst  

 

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Knowledge of data modelling concepts.
  • Exposure to machine learning methodologies.

Additional interest include: 

Security Clearence: To be successfully appointed to this role, must be eligible to obtain Security Check (SC)clearance. 
To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements.
