JOB PURPOSE

Manages the door to door importation process and national distribution from IT hub to BR/MX regional stores/outlet for both finished product and visual merchandising, as well as exportation processes out of those countries. Primary subject matter expert on logistics/compliance/customs/regulations/duties for BR/MX (countries with high amount of nuance in their legislation). Key supply chain link/representative with regional/local market teams and the integration point backwards from the region to the central supply chain. Owns RFQ bid/benchmarking process for transportation service providers. Schedules pick process/forecasting volume for hub capacities and shipments. Process files for classification and import license application. Prepare losses/damages claims with internal and external teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

o    Manage the door to door importation process and national distribution from IT hub to BR/MX regional stores/outlet for both finished product and visual merchandising. Manage exportation process out of MX/BR to US/IT
o    Act as the key supply chain link/representative with regional teams and the integration point backwards from the region to the central supply chain, providing the highest level of support 
o    Ensure efficient and correct flow of information between supply chain and the regional teams with regards to availability of products and regional priorities. Establish standard of communication for internal and external parties
o    Monitor transit and distribution times to ensure the agreed launch dates for new floor sets, capsule is achieved
o    Collaborating with the transportation/service providers and customs teams to escalate problems related to shipments and collections. Align on processes aimed at streamlining and quickening the preparations of shipping documents
o    Strong cooperation with the hubs, scheduling the picking process/forecasting volume to ensure an adequate workflow while balancing available resources in consideration of business priorities and targets
o    Negotiate with vendors/service providers/forwarders etc. for yearly reviews/fees/RFQs/benchmarking 
o    Coordinate BI/Master data uploads, to ensure product properly set up in SAP for distribution (e.g. NCM codes)
o    Process files for classification and import license application
o    Prepare losses/damages claims with internal and external teams 
o    Plan and organize cut off dates for customs clearance and delivery to stores due to stock takes/EOM guidance/etc. 
o    Ensuring consistency in the ways of working, stimulating sharing of knowledge and best practices among the regional teams
o    Setting objectives and KPIs in line with supply chain guidelines and strategy and periodically monitor performance and achievements
o    Work in cooperation with supply chain finance team for the preparation and adherence to operational budgets. Drive continuous improvement in the operations process flow to optimize cost and maximize business profit

PERSONAL PROFILE

o    Excellent communication skills both verbal and in writing (Portuguese, Spanish, and English Proficiency) 
o    Strong local knowledge of BR/MX customs, legislation, CITES/Non-CITES, Duties/taxes, ways of working, etc. 
o    Ability to work in a fast paced environment, in a self-motivated and self-directed manner. Candidate must be very independent, with organizational agility and acumen to know when to escalate and when to take direct action 
o    Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
o    Strong Analytical skills, Microsoft software skills
o    Ability to work well in a team, present to leadership

MEASURES OF SUCCESS

o  Smooth door to door importation process and national distribution from IT hub to BR/MX regional stores/outlets, and subsequent exportation process. Agreed launch dates for new floor sets/capsule are achieved. Adherence to operational budgets and regional KPIs. Reduction of operational costs (CPU, losses/damanges, duties violations etc.) Success rates for EOM cutoffs, customs clearance and delivery to stores. Proper benchmarking of RFQ.
