Want a role where your work genuinely changes lives?
We’re looking for a Recovery Navigator to support people on probation as they navigate recovery, rebuild stability, and reduce re-offending.
This role is remote-based, with regular travel across London boroughs to meet service users at hubs and probation-mandated locations. You’ll work as part of a flexible, multi-disciplinary team delivering high-impact support across London’s probation clusters.
This is a varied, people-focused role where no two days look the same.
What you’ll be doing
- Managing a diverse caseload of adult male prison leavers and people on community orders
- Completing comprehensive assessments and co-creating SMART, recovery-focused action plans
- Delivering 1:1 support, group work and virtual sessions
- Building trust, motivation and continuity of contact throughout the recovery journey
- Signposting and liaising with probation staff and partner agencies to ensure sustained engagement with treatment
- Maintaining accurate, timely records using Refer and Monitor systems
- Supporting people with complex needs, including co-occurring mental health challenges
- Some RNs will act as subject matter experts (e.g. BAME communities, chemsex), supporting colleagues across the service
What we’re looking for
- Experience supporting people with substance use, mental health or complex needs
- Confidence working independently while collaborating across multi-disciplinary teams
- Strong assessment, planning and engagement skills
- Flexibility to work London-wide (not limited to one cluster)
- Comfortable working remotely, with occasional travel for training
You’ll be part of a values-driven organisation where your work has real impact, supporting people to rebuild their lives and reduce re-offending. We offer flexible working, a supportive multi-disciplinary team, and opportunities to develop specialist expertise while working across a varied and meaningful caseload.
This is a role where your skills are valued, your voice is heard, and the work you do genuinely makes a difference every day.
