Recruitment Team Leader – Booker Group
Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, NN8 1LT
Shift Hours: 38 hrs per week (Monday to Friday)

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Recruitment Team Leader to manage a team of seven Recruitment Coordinators supporting our Cash & Carry business.
In this role, you’ll lead a team responsible for delivering a high-quality recruitment service across our Branch and Distribution Centre network. You’ll play a key part in driving recruitment, supporting hiring managers, developing your team, and ensuring an excellent experience for both candidates and hiring managers.

Based at our Head Office in Wellingborough (Equity House), this role is working Monday to Friday. You’ll be managing a team that operates between 8.00am and 5.30pm therefore a need to be flexible on start and finish times will be necessary. Ideally, we are looking to offer rotational hours of 8.00am-4.30pm/9.00am-5.30pm.
- Leading the day-to-day operation of the Recruitment Hub, ensuring an efficient and customer-focused service.
- Driving recruitment activity to meet hiring needs across the business.
- Leading daily team meetings to manage priorities, allocate workload and support team performance.
- Coaching, mentoring and developing team members to achieve their full potential.
- Creating an inclusive, engaging and high-performing team culture.
- Providing expert recruitment advice and guidance to hiring managers and People teams throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
- Planning for peak recruitment periods and ensuring the team is prepared to meet business demand.
- Producing recruitment reports and analysing data.
- Championing recruitment best practice, policies and procedures.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and enhance the recruitment experience.
- Supporting volume recruitment activity when required.
- Previous recruitment experience within an in-house recruitment team or recruitment agency.
- Experience leading, motivating and developing a team.
- Experience managing recruitment performance, reporting and KPIs.
- Knowledge of recruitment processes, compliance and employment legislation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent coaching and mentoring skills.
- Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ideally Tribepad.
- Knowledge of the wholesale or retail sector would be advantageous.
