Cambridge City Council is looking for an experienced and passionate individual to co-lead the delivery of the Region of Learning programme. This initiative is designed to enhance learning, career pathways, and skills development across Cambridge and the wider Cambridgeshire and Peterborough area. You will:
Oversee the development and delivery of the Region of Learning project, ensuring key performance indicators and outcomes are met.
Develop and maintain partnerships with employers, education providers, local authorities, and funding bodies.
Ensure effective financial management, monitoring project income and expenditure in line with budgets.
Lead on service agreements, procurement, and contracts to support project delivery.
Drive innovation through digital technology and place-based learning interventions.
Monitor and evaluate project impact, using data-driven approaches to improve outcomes.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need: Significant experience in managing complex projects within learning, skills, or careers development. A proven track record of working with disadvantaged young people or those at risk of poor employment outcomes. Strong leadership skills, with experience in managing teams and stakeholder relationships. Knowledge of the local labour market, employer engagement, and skills development trends. Experience with funding applications, budget management, and procurement processes. A strategic, data-driven mindset to measure project success and drive improvements.

Hours: This is a part-time role, for 22.2 hours per week.
Contract: Fixed Term ending 31 March 2026.
Salary: £40,476 – £45,718 per annum (City Pay Band 6), pro rata for part time.
Location: This is flexible – working in Cambridge on site or at one of our offices or working from home. You will be able to balance your work location accordingly.
