We’re Supercharged – And This Is Just the Beginning.
The AA is entering a bold new era with AI at the wheel. We’re building a dedicated AI capability, and we’re looking for passionate pioneers to shape what comes next.
We’ve recently replatformed onto a modern data stack, unlocking access to one of the UK’s richest datasets – from detailed vehicle fault histories to real-time connected car telemetry. Now, we’re turning that data into intelligent systems that keep Britain moving.
As a Senior AI Product Owner (Domain Lead), you’ll partner with senior leaders to own and deliver a portfolio of AI initiatives, taking ideas from discovery to measurable adoption. Sitting within the AI Centre of Excellence, you’ll work with specialist teams to embed outcome-driven AI solutions into everyday operations.
This is your chance to be part of something new. Something exciting. Something that matters. Ready to join the AA+AI journey?

This is the job
As a Senior AI Product Owner (Domain Lead) you will be a trusted partner to senior leaders in a defined business area (for example Corporate Functions, Commercial, Operations). You will own a portfolio of AI opportunities for that domain, taking ideas from early discovery through to measurable adoption. You’ll work hands-on with stakeholders and specialist teams to shape the right solutions, keep focus on outcomes, and ensure AI improvements land in day-to-day operations. This role sits within the AI Centre of Excellence (CoE) and is the primary interface between the CoE and your domain.
This is a high-autonomy role. You will lead the domain AI portfolio end-to-end (discovery, prioritisation and adoption), partnering with specialist delivery teams rather than owning a dedicated squad.
What will I be doing?
- Domain partnership: Act as the AI point of contact for your domain, building trusted senior stakeholder relationships and owning demand, prioritisation, and progress.
- Use case discovery and shaping: Lead workshops and structured discovery to define clear users, problems, constraints, and success measures for AI use cases.
- Portfolio prioritisation and roadmap: Maintain a transparent, prioritised backlog and roadmap, balancing impact, feasibility, risk, and time-to-value.
- Drive delivery and outcomes: Translate priorities into actionable plans and lightweight artefacts (e.g. one-pagers, value hypotheses, success metrics). Partner with teams to move work from concept to pilot to scaled adoption, removing blockers and maintaining momentum.
- Hands-on delivery for configurable solutions: Where appropriate, configure off-the-shelf tools and build lightweight AI solutions (e.g. custom GPTs, low-code/no-code automations), coordinating testing, iteration, launch, training, and measurement.
- Identify the simplest effective solution: Evaluate options to ensure decisions are grounded in user value, operational fit, speed-to-impact, and risk.
- Adoption and value realisation: Own adoption planning (training, communications, process change, measurement), track usage and benefits, and iterate to ensure outcomes are realised.
- Enable safe speed: Ensure initiatives meet security, privacy, compliance, and responsible AI standards, escalating risks early and applying appropriate controls without unnecessary friction.
- Continuous improvement: Stay informed on relevant AI trends and bring pragmatic opportunities into the domain, while maintaining disciplined focus on priorities.
What do I need?
- Proven experience in product ownership, product management, business analysis, or transformation roles, with a track record of delivering measurable outcomes
- Good working understanding of AI/GenAI capabilities and limitations, with the ability to translate business problems into practical AI opportunities.
- Strong stakeholder and facilitation skills, including influencing senior leaders and balancing competing priorities.
- Proven ability to lead discovery, including problem framing, user and journey definition, benefit quantification, and success measures.
- Able to coordinate across teams, move from ambiguity to action, and maintain momentum through to adoption.
- Strong written and verbal communication, producing clear decision artefacts and confidently leading workshops.
- Comfortable using data to prioritise work, assess impact, and guide iteration.
