  • Our Adviser business provides financial planning solutions and technology for UK financial advisers, enabling them to create value for their customers.
  • Our Investments business is a specialist asset manager that focuses on areas where we have both strength and scale to capitalise on the key themes shaping the market, through either public markets or alternative asset classes.

About the Role

Your role will focus on leading our marketing efforts across our range of Managed Portfolio Service (MPS) solutions within our Adviser Marketing team. You will be responsible for the developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy that enhances product visibility, drives adviser engagement and supports business growth.  You will collaborate closely with senior leadership, sales teams and subject matter experts to position our MPS offering as a market-leading solution.

Key Responsibilities:
 

Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and implement the marketing strategy for MPS, ensuring alignment with distribution priorities and the wider Adviser Marketing and business objectives.
  • Manage marketing plans, budgets and timelines for MPS campaigns and initiatives.

Campaign and content management:

  • Lead the planning, execution and optimisation of multi-channel campaign across email, social media, and events.
  • Collaborate with sales to maintain lead generation process and ensure timely follow up.
  • Manage the third party partners to develop and execute timely and innovative campaigns.
  • Drive the content strategy for MPS, working with subject matter experts to deliver thought leadership and insights that engage advisers and support client retention.
  • Oversee development and maintenance of BAU materials, including quarterly deliverables and sales enablement collateral.
  • Monitor and analyse campaign performance, providing actionable insights and recommendation for improvement and future planning.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Champion MPS within the Adviser Marketing team and across the wider business, leading communication and stakeholder engagement.

Compliance & Brand:

  • Ensure all marketing activity complies with regulatory requirements and adheres to Aberdeen’s standards, operational processes, and risk controls.

About the Candidate:

  • Proven track record in developing and executing successful marketing campaigns, ideally within financial services.
  • Strong understanding of the UK adviser and wholesale markets, with demonstrable experience in asset or investment management, ideally including MPS.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, particularly with senior leadership and distribution teams.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution – can connect marketing to business strategy, while not being afraid of rolling up sleeves to deliver.
  • Excellent writing skills and creative communication skills.
  • Highly self-motivated, organised, and accountable individual, with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Collaborative team player who thrives in a dynamic environment.
